Salisbury School, Adair County Missouri Listed to National Register of Historic Places October 2017

Interior View of Salisbury School (1930)

Polis: Cultural Planning is excited to announce the official listing of the Salisbury School to the National Register of Historic Places. The Salisbury School was constructed in 1930 and was the third school building for the Salisbury School District. The owner of the property has extended family ties to the Salisbury School and the Novinger community in Adair County. It was a special treat to work with the family who has expressed great love and appreciation for this unique school building. As rural communities continue to lose their historically important places due to lack of funds for upkeep or sadly abandonment; this honoring of the past and inclusion as a National Register of Historic Places building will be a source of pride for the community. Congratulations and thank you to the Hiatt family for the opportunity!
